Below is a logo of a client, followed by the two logo proposals. The client's goal is to turn a hand-written idea into a professional logo.

The client's original logo design

Updated font and new peacock feather

Updated font and original feather refined
The client wanted the logo in black and white, with the feather refined and with a different font.

I used the AI tool on Adobe Illustrator to create a peacock feather. However, I edited the feather so that it would be more pleasant to the eye, by reducing the barbs of the feather and curving the barbs upward to give it a consistent look. Regarding the typeface, I chose Futura PT to give it a modern look and a sans typeface. I also added the palette knife effect which curved the edges of each letter. This gave the typeface a soft look.

In this version, I used image trace to get an outline of the original feather, as the client specified they wanted the feather more refined. I kept the feather's hand-drawn style because it gives it a unique look. Nonetheless, I refined the barbs and center piece. The typeface is Futura PT, with added effects for a softer appearance.
